Each posting consists of 3 readings of the Bible, one passage from the Psalms, one from the 4 Gospels, and one from the letters.
Psalms (150 psalms) are for praying and singing songs. Jesus while on earth used the Psalms as his prayer book and also as his song book to sing to the Father.
4 Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) are about the life of
Jesus.
Letters are written by apostles (Apostle Paul wrote the most numbers of letters to the churches to help the Christians in their Christian walk). In this section, we included Acts (it is found after John’s gospel). Acts is the history of the early church and how the church grew. Revelation (it is found after the letter of Jude) is the last book of the Bible, and shows the end of the world. Revelation is the hardest to understand because it is written with a lot of symbols.
For prayer, we use the Lord’s Prayer found in Matthew 6:9-13
Matthew 6:9-13 (ESV)
9 Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
10 Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread,
12 and forgive us our debts (sins)
as we also have forgiven our debtors (or those who sinned against us).
13 And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
The Lord's prayer shows the 6 principles for living well.
